The Malta Under-19 side lost 3-0 to Austria in the first game from Group 12 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying mini-tournament at the Ertl Glas Stadion in Amstetten.

Daniel Krenn put the hosts ahead on 22 minutes. Substitute Srdan Spiridonovic doubled the score on 70 minutes and Marcel Ritzmaier sealed the issue with a third goal three minutes later.

Malta takes on Denmark on Friday, kick-off at 13:00. On Wednesday, Denmark defeated Albania 1-0.
