For the second time this year, AC Milan youth coach Elio Garavaglia will be working with all age groups at the Balzan Youths Nursery for 3 weeks. He will be conducting training sessions from the 26th October till the 16th November. Garavaglia will be assisted during the sessions by Balzan Youths Nursery head coach Silvan Ciscaldi and the other Balzan coaches of the respective age groups.

Elio Garavaglia began his football career by playing for 6 years in the AC Milan youth system. His professional playing career spanned for over 13 years, playing various Serie B clubs in Italy.

During his coaching career, Garavaglia, who holds the UEFA “A” license, has worked in the AC Milan youth system for over 20 years, working with the likes of Fabio Capello and Franco Baresi. Garavaglia was also assistant to Mauro Tassoti for the AC Milan U-18’s and formed part of the coaching staff at the Milan Soccer School in Sydney Australia. Garavaglia has just extended his contract with AC Milan for another 2 years.

These visits, organised with the help of the Balzan Youths President Mr. Gorg Borg and the club’s main sponsor Mr. Anton Tagliaferro, confirm the strong relations that Balzan Youths Nursery have with the Milan Academy in Sydney and Milan.

During Garavaglia’s stay here in Malta, Balzan Nursery will be organising instructional meetings for Coaches and special training sessions for all boys, conducted by the Italian coach.
