Leaders Pietà Hotspurs dropped their first points in the BOV First Division as they were held in a goalless draw by St. George’s in a top-bottom clash at the Luxol Stadium on Friday. For the Saints, this was the first point after suffering three defeats in the first three matches.

Meanwhile Birzebbuga St. Peter’s registered their third win as they beat Lija Athletic 3-2 courtesy of a Matthew Sciortino penalty and goals by Basil Emeka Onuta and Keith Muscat. Lija  scored thanks to a penalty by Clayton Giordimaina and Ige Adesina.

On Saturday, Naxxar Lions face Dingli Swallows while Zejtun Corinthians meet St. Andrews at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
