As in previous years, Hamrun Spartans FC Youth Nursery will be organising tournaments and festivals throughout the season. Three tournaments/festivals will be organised during the season, as follows: the Firetech Christmas Football Festival, Tony Bajada Memorial during the Easter holidays and the 1st May Challenge Cup.

The fourteenth edition of the Christmas Football Festival sponsored by Firetech Limited will be held on the 8th and 13th of December 2011 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun. This Football Festival is being organised with the permission of the Amateur, Youth and Grassroots Committee.

The categories for this year’s edition are as follows:

• Class B: Boys born after 1 January 2005
• Class C: Boys born after 1 January 2004
• Class D: Boys born after 1 January 2003
• Class F: Boys born after 1 January 2001
• Class J: Girls born after 1 January 1999
• Class B will be played on 4 vs 4 basis, where each team can register up to 10 players.
• Class C & D will be played on 5 vs 5 basis (4+1 Goalkeeper), where each team can register up to 12 players.
• Class F will be played on 8 vs 8 basis (7+1 Goalkeeper), where each team can register up to 14 players.
• Class J will be played on 5 vs 5 bases (4+1 Goalkeeper), where each team can register up to 12 players.
• Each player will be presented with a memento at the end of the Festival.
• Fair Play Overall will also be awarded.

The fee for participants taking part in the Festival is €50 for Class B & C, €60 for Class D and J, and €70 for Class F. More details will be given during the press conference which is going to be held in late November at Tony Bajada Centre.
