Marsaxlokk coach Winston Muscat has tendered his resignation following the defeat to Qormi during this weekend. The news was revealed by Marsaxlokk acting president Anthony Lee Baldacchino during the radio programme Replay Ikompli.

Muscat had joined the Southseasiders last June, replacing Patrick Curmi. However under his guidance, Marsaxlokk collected just seven points from the first eight matches and are currently joint-ninth, just three points ahead bottom-placed Tarxien Rainbows and Mosta.

Winston Muscat started his coaching career at senior level with St. Patrick but then joined Vittoriosa Stars where he spent two years.
