Tricky test for Hibernians

Hibernians will be hoping to return on top the BOV Premier League table as they take on Floriana in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme on Saturday.

Following seven consecutive wins, the Paolites dropped two points in their last outing as they were held in a draw by Hamrun Spartans.

Floriana, who are joint-third on 13 points, lost 0-1 to Valletta and 0-3 to Birkirkara in their last two games and are therefore keen to return to winning ways.

Missing for the Greens will be Tyrone Farrugia and goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo. With the latter and William Amamoo both suspended, young goalkeeper Jurgen Borg is set to start in goal.

Meanwhile in the second game, Marsaxlokk take on Hamrun Spartans.

Buoyed by their fine performance against Hibernians, the Spartans hope to collect more precious points in order to climb further up the table.

Marsaxlokk lost four of the last five matches and the fact that they are yet to appoint a new coach definitely complicates matters for the Southseasiders.

Florent Raimy is ruled out through suspension but Clive Brincat will be back after serving a one-match ban.

Hamrun welcome back Carlo Polli and Dene Shields while Omar Borg should recover in time to return in goal. Roderick Fenech is ruled out injured.
