Gzira United are once again the sole leaders in the BOV Second Division after they defeated Siggiewi 2-0 in a match at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday. The Maroons lead the way with 17 points, two ahead of Gudja and three ahead of Gharghur.

Gharghur came from behind to beat Senglea Athletic 2-1 at the Charles Abela Stadium.

Kirkop United joined Mellieha in fourth place on 13 points after defeating Msida St. Joseph 1-0.

Four teams share the sixth place on nine points – San Gwann, St. Venera Lightnings, Siggiewi and Zebbug Rangers. San Gwann defeated St. Venera 1-0 while Zebbug Rangers beat Luqa St. Andrew’s 3-1.

In another match, Zurrieq defeated Attard 1-0.

Luqa are tenth on 8 points, followed by Msida and Zurrieq on 6, Attard 5 and Senglea 3.
