MFPA meets Marsaxlokk FC committee

The executive committee of the Malta Football Players Association met with the current acting committee of the Marsaxlokk FC following a request by the club’s players asking the MFPA to intervene due to the club’s current situation.

The MFPA was informed that in a few days, the club president, treasurer, secretary and PRO resigned or were no longer holding their post. The first team coach, assistant coach and goalkeepers’ coach resigned as well and there is no medical staff present at the training sessions and the official games. The players have not received their salaries for the past months.

During a very cordial meeting, both parties found common grounds for the way forward. The MFPA presented an action plan with clear proposals to the acting committee.

The aim of this plan is to help both the players and the Club. The MFPA will await a reply by the end of the week.
