Charity event organised by Vittoriosa Stars

Vittoriosa Stars F.C. will be organising an event in aid of Amber, a little girl who has been diagnosed with a serious illness that requires extensive and expensive cures abroad. This event will take place on the 19th December 2011 at the De La Salle Football Grounds from 18:00 onwards.

The Stars for Amber will consist of a triangular football tournament between the 2011-2012 Minors Squad of Vittoriosa Stars FC, ex-Vittoriosa Stars FC players who used to play in the 80s and 90s and ex-Malta International Football players of the likes of Joe Brincat, Ray Vella (Mundu), Carmel Busuttil (Buzu), Reggie Cini, Michael Degiorgio, Stefan Sultana and Gilbert Agius, amongst many other prestigious and household names. The tournament will be refereed by the former international referee, Charles Agius.

Following the tournament, the players will sign their shirts and these will be auctioned off in aid of this cause. Mr Norman Darmanin Demajo, President of the Malta Football Association will also be in attendance.

Vittoriosa Stars FC intend to make this event a yearly occasion to raise funds in aid of just causes.

This event is being supported by De La Salle College and Teamsport.

Entrance is free but donations towards this cause are much welcome and appreciated. Donations can also be deposited in Amber’s BOV Donation Account No 40020405522.
