Leaders Pembroke Athleta were held in a 2-2 draw in a match from the BOV Third Division on Saturday. However Athleta still managed to extend the lead as second-placed Ghaxaq lost 0-1 to Fgura United.

Marsaskala returned to winning ways as they beat Kalkara 1-0 while Qrendi and Swieqi United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Marsa, on the other hand, beat Mtarfa 2-0.

Pembroke lead the way with 32 points, followed by Ghaxaq on 27, Santa Lucia 25, Fgura 23, Mgarr and Mdina 21, Xghajra 19, Swieqi 16, Marsaskala 11, Sirens and Qrendi 10, Marsa 9, Mtarfa 4 and Kalkara 3.

On Friday, Mdina Knights take on Mgarr United while Sirens face Santa Lucia. Santa Lucia would move in second place should they claim the three points from this clash.
