Three Premier League players suspended

Three Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Floriana duo Pablo Doffo and Clyde Borg and Hamrun’s Gianluca Calabretta are therefore ruled out of next weekend’s matches.

Doffo and Borg will miss the game against Hibernians while Calabretta is ruled out of the clash with Marsaxlokk.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Nikki Vella Petroni (St. Andrews) was banned for two matches while Erjon Beu (Lija) and Julian Galea (Melita) were suspended for one match.

Dimcho Traykov (Attard), Mark Gauci (Gharghur), Adrian Psaila (Luqa), Matthew Borda (Msida) and Ryan Zammit (San Gwann) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2.

In Division 3, Marvic Grech (Ghaxaq) was banned for two matches while Justin Buhagiar (Mdina), Milan Polonec (Xghajra) were suspended for one match.

In the Youth League, Alan Cutajar (Gudja), Kyle Gerada (Gzira), Dylan Briffa and Adrian Abdilla (Mqabba) and Leigh Spiteri (Msida) were all banned for one match.
