Four Premier League players suspended

Mqabba will be lacking three players for their final game from the Relegation Pool against Hamrun Spartans as Pierre Grima, Ryan Sammut and goalkeeper Kris Calleja were all handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner

Also suspended for one game is Sliema’s Nikola Bogdanovic. He is ruled out of the game against Floriana.

Mqabba team manager Mario Borg was banned for one match.

In Division 1, Mead Mifsud, Ronnie Celeste, Martin Gabriel (Birzebbuga), Roderick Briffa (Dingli), Andrea Farrugia and Murilo Maccari (Naxxar), Vinicius Pereira dos Santos (Pietà), Christian Grech (St. George’s), Simon Zerafa and Blendi Gockaj (St. Patrick) and Karl Vassallo (Zejtun) were all banned for one match. Dingli official Paul Farrugia was handed a two-match ban.

Trevor Thomas (Gudja) was suspended for three matches in Division 2 while Matthew Aquilina and Noel Tabone (Kirkop), Colin Gatt (Luqa), Chris Cuschieri and Shawn Vella (San Gwann), Jean Paul Abdilla (Senglea) and Victor Micallef (Zurrieq) were banned for one match.

In Division 3, Abduljawad Musha (Kalkara) was suspended for three matches, Gilbert Scerri (Fgura), Jesmond Scicluna (Marsaskala) and Matthew Borg (Pembroke) were banned for two matches. Robert Adami (Fgura), Francois Galea (Ghaxaq), Kirsten Brincat (Marsa), Yan Grech (Mdina), Chris Abela and James Borg (Mgarr), Jonathan Mifsud (Pembroke) and Clayton Goodrum (Sta. Lucia) were banned for one match. Fgura team manager Anthony Gafa was banned for two matches.

Jean Claude Borg (Pembroke) was handed a three-match ban in the Youth League. Peter Paul Sammut (Gudja), Darrel Grech (Marsaxlokk), Damien Delia and Jonathan Bajada (Mosta), Miguel Agius (Pembroke), Kurt Debono (Rabat), Glen Agius, Josef Cutajar and Mark Vella (San Gwann), Kurt Souness (Siggiewi) and Glen Chircop (Sliema) were suspended for one match. Tarxien assistant coach Rennie Zahra was banned for two matches.
