Under-21 side loses to Sweden

The Malta Under-21 side lost 4-0 to Sweden in another match from Group 2 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship at the Örjans Vall Stadium in Halmstad on Wednesday.

Mervan Celik put the hosts ahead after just three minutes and on the 20th, Mikael Ishak doubled the score.

The Maltese were reduced to ten men two minutes in the second half as Owen Bugeja was sent off by referee Domagoj Vuckov.

Astrit Ajdarevic increased the lead a minute later and Mikael Ishak sealed the issue with a fourth goal two minutes in added time.
