Cottonera United Youth Nursery end-of-season presentation

Cottonera United Youth Nursery last week held its first End-of-Season Presentation during which all players who formed part of the Under-15 and Under-17 teams were presented with commemorative trophies.

Cottonera United Youth Nursery president Stephen Spiteri praised and thanked all the players, coaches and the committee for their commitment and hard work throughout this first season for the nursery.

This first experimental year of the amalgamation of the three Cottonera clubs, was not an easy one, as expected. However this experiment seems to have worked out very well. Spiteri thanked all those who worked hard to overcome the difficult situations which this nursery was faced with.

Spiteri congratulated the players who performed really well. In fact, the Under-15s ended the season in the runner-up position, two points below the leaders in their section while the Under-17s placed third.

The Cottonera United Youth Nursery president said the committee is already working hard for the next football season and preparations are well underway.

St.George’s Nursery’s President Hon. Chris Agius, Vittoriosa Stars Nursery president Andrew Bugeja and Youth FA representative Fr Joe Abela presented the trophies to all Cottonera United Youth Nursery players.

Present for this event were the members of the Cottonera United Youth Nursery committee together with committee members of the parent clubs and nurseries of Senglea Athletic, St. George’s and Vittoriosa Stars. Also present were players, parents, local council members of the three cities.
