Matthew Towns joins St. Andrews

Luxol St. Andrews have made their first major signing for the new season by registering former Macclesfield Town FC, Floriana FC and Valletta FC goalkeeper Matthew Towns.

Under the chairmanship of Paul Falzon and new president Steve Abela, Luxol St. Andrews are looking to strengthen their squad with experienced and valid players and this new signing shows their determination and commitment to act on their words.

Present for this signing at the Luxol Stadium was Luxol St Andrews vice president Michael Bonello, “I am happy that Matthew Towns chose Luxol when he could have easily gone to a host of other premier division clubs and also abroad. This means that Matthew believes in our project. We are confident that the strength of our nursery will produce young quality players to be included with the senior squad as from the next season and we will only sign on top quality players like Matthew Towns that will bring experience to our youths. Our concept is to base our squad on home grown players. We cherish the importance of our nursery and we will support this principle`.
