Hibernians, Birkirkara target positive results

Hibernians and Birkirkara target positive results in the second leg of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

At the Hibernians Stadium, Hibernians host FK Sarajevo, kick-off at 19:30 while Birkirkara face Metalurg Skopje at the Milano Arena in Kumanovo, kick-off at 17:00.

Hibernians need to win by a three-goal difference after losing 5-2 in Sarajevo. The Paolites were leading 2-1 at one point and after going 2-2 in half-time, the dismissal of Rodolfo Soares and a penalty paved the way for a comfortable win for FK Sarajevo.

Hibs coach Michael Woods, therefore, could not count on the suspended Rodolfo Soares together with Clayton Failla and Jonathan Pearson.

In Macedonia, Birkirkara have to win or hold Metalurg Skopje in a 3-3 draw or a draw with a larger score. With a 2-2 draw, the game would go into extra-time.

In the second qualifying round, Hibernians or FK Sarajevo will be facing Bulgarian giants PFC Levski Sofia while Birkirkara or Metalurg Skopje would meet Ruch Chorzow of Poland.
