Birkirkara eliminated despite draw in Macedonia

Birkirkara were eliminated from the UEFA Europa League despite a goalless draw at the Milano Arena in Kumanovo in the second leg of the first qualifying round. Following a 2-2 draw at the Hibs Stadium last week, Birkirkara were therefore eliminated in the away goals rule.

The Stripes had their fair share of scoring opportunities, going close to taking the lead late in the first half through Shola Shodiya who hit the woodwork.
