Under-17 side for tournament in Hungary

As part of their preparation for their forthcoming competitive commitments the Malta Under 17 squad will be travelling to Hungary to participate in a quadrangular tournament between 1 and 6 August. Hosts Hungary, Israel and another team still to be announced will play one another in what should be a very useful work-out for the lads under the charge of Branko Nisevic who is assisted by Charles Scerri.

The players in the 18-man squad will certainly be given the opportunity to integrate into a collective unit while also honing their individual skills and obtain much-needed international experience.

The delegation will be leaving Malta for Budapest via Frankfurt on Monday 30 July and are due to return via the same route on 6 August.

Malta faces hosts Hungary on Wednesday 1st August at the Diosd Stadium at 17:30 and Israel on Thursday 2nd August at 17:30. The match for final placing will be played on Sunday 5th August.
