Three new foreigners for Rabat Ajax

After signing German midfielder Heiner Backhaus and defender Clive Brincat, newly-promoted Rabat Ajax secured the services of Montenegrin defender Ivan Carapic, Spanish forward Manuel Moral Fuster and Lithuanian striker Nerijus Astrauskas.

Thirty-year old Carapic played for FK Ribnica Podgorica and FK Buducnost Podgorica in Montenegro before moving to Malta to join Tarxien Rainbows in summer 2008. However after a short spell with the Rainbows, he returned to Montenegro where he played for FK Decic and spent the last three years with OFK Petrovac.

Manuel Moral Fuster, who is twenty-six years old, left a very good impression in the AME Cup, scoring two goals.

On the other hand, thirty-one year old Nerijus Astrauskas is a former Lithuanian international and played for a number of clubs including Sakalas Šiauliai, Sviesa Vilnius, RKS Radomsko in Poland, FK Vilnius, Liep?jas Metalurgs in Latvia, Ayia Napa in Cyprus, Niki Volos and Veria in Greece and spent the last two years with FK Žalgiris Vilnius.
