Following the resignation of coach Clive Mizzi and assistant coach Renzo Kerr Cumbo on Tuesday, Sliema Wanderers were quick to appoint a new coach and a sports director, namely Alfonso Greco and Roberto Causio.

The Italian duo are already in Malta and the former will be leading the first training session on Wednesday evening.

The club’s official website www.sliemawfc.org announced that a new assistant coach, a physical trainer and a goalkeepers coach will be appointed soon.

A former player of Lazio and Cagliari, among other teams, Alfonso Greco coached Nuova Tor Tre Teste in the Campionato Eccellenza.

Meanwhile the club has announced that Miguel Ciantar signed a three-year contract with the club. The player spent last season on loan with Balzan Youths.
