Valletta secured the services of Birkirkara and Malta international midfielder Shaun Bajada. Bajada is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Citizens.

Shaun Bajada made his Premier League debut with Floriana in season 2000/01. He moved to Marsaxlokk mid-way through season 2004/05. He spent the second part of season 2006/07 on loan with Msida St. Joseph and the following summer, he was transferred to Birkirkara.

Bajada could make his first appearance in the Valletta shirt on Saturday as the Citizens face Serie A side Cagliari in a prestigious friendly match at the Stadio Nino Manconi in Tempio Pausania, a small town in Sardegna.
