UEFA Women's Champions League: Third defeat for Birkirkara

Birkirkara lost 1-3 to Glentoran Belfast United in the final match from the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round Group 3 mini-tournament at the Centenary Stadium on Thursday.

The first half seemed heading for a goalless draw but four minutes in added time, Kelly Bailie managed to break the deadlock for the Irish. Kirsty McGuinness doubled the score on 72 minutes and five minutes later, the same player sealed the issue with a third goal. Kirsty Feasey scored a consolation goal for the Stripes two minutes in added time.

Olimpia Cluj won the tournament after defeating 1° Dezembro 4-1 at the National Stadium to end their commitments with maximum points from three matches.
