Mosta seek first points as they take on Valletta

Mosta will be seeking their first points as they take kn champions Valletta in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Despite an intensive transfer campaign, the Blues started the season with a 3-2 defeat to Hibernians and against Valletta, they need to do much better in order to claim a positive result.

Three new players are set to make their debut for the Blues, namely Manolito Micallef, Emmanuel Okafor and former Valletta winger Ousseni Zongo.

Valletta, however, will be all out to claim the three points in their bid to keep the pace with Hibernians. In their last outing, the Citizens defeated Tarxien Rainbows 1-0. Coach Mark Miller is expected to have the full squad at his disposal.

Meanwhile in the second match, Balzan face neighbours Birkirkara.

Balzan earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Hamrun Spartans last week while Birkirkara defeated Melita 4-0.

Manager Ivan Zammit is once again unable to lead Balzan from the bench as he is suspended. Brazilian defender Renato Conceicao is also ruled out through suspension together with Birkirkara’s Nikola Vukanac.
