The 1st edition of the Noel Muscat Cup was held on the 28th of December 2010. The Cup was won by Swieqi United with a 3-1 score. This year’s edition will likewise be a one-off match and in the event that the game ends in a draw, a direct penalty shoot-out will follow to determine the winner.

The 2nd edition of the Noel Muscat Cup will be played between Swieqi United FC and Pembroke Athleta on the 30th of August 2012 at the Pembroke Athleta ground. Kick-off 19.30.

Mr. Noel Muscat, the current Mayor of Swieqi, is a firm believer in sport as a means of uniting people and localities.

Mr. Muscat is an ex-player of Pembroke Athleta and has been a keen supporter and sponsor of Swieqi United since its inception in 2009.
