Patrick Curmi appointed new Birzebbuga St. Peter's coach

First Division side Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s F.C. announced that they have appointed Patrick Curmi as their new coach. Curmi replaces Joe Gerada who tendered his resignation after the defeat to Lija Athletic last weekend citing the team’s difficult start this season.

The Saints appointed Curmi as new coach due to the fact that he has considerable experience in the Premier League, having coached Marsa, Pietà Hotspurs, Msida St. Joseph, Marsaxlokk, Birkirkara and Tarxien Rainbows. The club believes he could help the team improve its position in the table and reach the objectives set before the season kicked-off.

Birzebbuga thanked Joe Gerada for the services rendered over the past two years and a half, leading the team to promotion for the first time to the First Division in season 2010/11.
