Francis Jeffers joins Floriana

After securing the services of goalkeeper Tony Warner, Floriana signed English striker Francis Jeffers.

Jeffers started his career with Everton before being transferred to Arsenal in 2001. He was loaned once again to Everton in 2003/04 and at the end of the season, he was transferred to Charlton Athletic. He had a short spell with Rangers before joining Blackburn in 2006, spending one month on loan with Ipswich Town. The striker then played for Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle Jets in Australia and Motherwell in Scotland.

Francis Jeffers played once for England, scoring a consolation goal in a 1-3 defeat to Australia in 2003.

Jeffers and Warner are expected to make their debut for the Greens in the next Premier League game against Valletta next week.
