The BOV Premier League resumes on Friday following a short break due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic as Balzan take on Sliema Wanderers and Birkirkara face Hamrun Spartans.
In the first game, both Balzan and Sliema will be aiming at extending their positive run after a shaky start.
Balzan collected just one point from the first five matches but are now coming from two consecutive 2-1 wins over Qormi and Melita. Sliema, on the other hand, registered three consecutive wins over Birkirkara, Rabat and Hibernians after collecting just four points from the first four matches.
For Balzan, Malcolm Licari is still ruled out through suspension while Matthew Camilleri is ruled out injured.
Meanwhile Birkirkara will be hoping to return to winning ways as they take on Hamrun Spartans.
The Stripes held champions Valletta in a draw in their last outing and a win on Friday would put them on level points with the Citizens although the latter would have a game in hand. The Spartans, on the other hand, were held in a 1-1 draw by Rabat, therefore obtaining four points from the last four matches.
