Pembroke Athleta signed former Under-21 international Kane Micallef from Melita.

Micallef teams up with other former Melita players, namely prolific scorer Matthew Borg, defenders Jonathan Mifsud and Malcolm Mamo and veteran goalkeeper Michael Carter.

The signing of Kane Micallef shows the intentions of the club, having signed no less then eight players this season, namely Craig Debattista, Kurt Coleiro, Michael Ellul, Thomas Sullivan, Roland John Emeka, Gilbert Scerri and Aaron Attard.

After winning the BOV Third Division league last season, under the guidance of coach Jacques Scerri, Pembroke Athleta share the top spot in the BOV Second Division.
