Pietà Hotspurs and Naxxar Lions earned a point each as they shared the spoils in a goalless draw in a match from the BOV First Division on Saturday.

A draw which puts the two teams in second place, one behind St. Andrews and one ahead of Lija.

Meanwhile leaders St. Andrews kept marching on with a 2-1 win over Gzira United in the second game.

Rumen Kerekov and Michael Grima scored the two goals for the Saints, Alfred Effiong replied for the Maroons

St. Andrews move four points clear as they now lead the table with 15 points, followed by Pietà and Naxxar on 11, Lija 10, Gudja 8, Vittoriosa and Marsaxlokk 7, Zejtun 6, Gzira 5, Birzebbuga and Dingli 3 and Mqabba 2
