Fgura United maintained the challenge for promotion with a 2-1 win over Kirkop United in a match from the BOV Second Division at the Luxol Stadium on Friday.

Fgura move two points behind leaders Zebbug who however have a game in hand.

Zebbug lead the way with 21 points, followed by Fgura on 19, San Gwann and Pembroke on 16, St. George’s and Msida 15, St. Patrick and Siggiewi 11, Zurrieq 10, Kirkop 9, Gharghur 8, Mellieha 7, St. Venera 6 and Mgarr 5.
