A weekend full of activities awaited Ben Mawson, Youth Development Director and Colin Walker, Technical Director of Doncaster Rovers Academy as guests of Pembroke Athleta Football Nursery.

Besides making a presentation on the Doncaster Rovers Academy set-up and philosophy, the coaches conducted two practical instructional meetings for the Pembroke Athleta Nursery coaches utilising the nursery’s Under 11 and the Under 13 groups.

All participants were hosted to a lunch at the Pembroke Athleta Sports Club restaurant to conclude the sessions.

The event is part of an ongoing arrangement being made between the two clubs’ academies for the educational benefit of the Pembroke Athleta nursery coaches and children.

It is planned that other Doncaster Rovers coaches will be visiting Malta during the latter part of this season and groups from the Pembroke Athleta nursery will be having a training camp in Doncaster during the summer as part of the arrangement.
