Gzira United returned to winning ways in the BOV First Division as they registered an impressive 4-0 win over Marsaxlokk on Sunday.

Simon Shead put the Maroons ahead on 28 minutes and doubled the score ten minutes later. In the second half, Sunny Omoregie Ogbemudia increased the lead six minutes in the second half and sealed the issue with a fourth goal two minutes from time.

Meanwhile in another match, St. Andrews and Mqabba shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Trayo Grozev put the Saints ahead but Clayton Micallef levelled matters for Mqabba.

Lija lead the way with 23 points, followed by Naxxar on 22, Marsaxlokk21, Gudja 19, St. Andrews and Vittoriosa 18, Zejtun and Pietà 17, Gzira 15, Dingli and Birzebbuga 8 and Mqabba 4.
