Hibernians through to U*BET FA Trophy quarter-finals

Holders Hibernians secured a place in the quarter-finals of the U*BET FA Trophy after defeating First Division side Gudja United 4-0.

Hibernians managed to take the lead just before the end of the first half thanks to Allan Kardeck dos Santos off a corner by Clayton Failla.

The Paolites doubled the score on 64 minutes thanks to Jackson di Lima Siqueira who recieved the ball off an intelligent back-heel pass by Andrew Cohen.

Two minutes later, off a freekick by Clayton Failla, Andrew Cohen headed the ball into the direction of Adrian Pulis who beat Xerxen with a header from close range.

Gudja could have reduced the gap on the 68th minute but Ryan Sell’s fine effort was neutralised by Daniel Balzan.

Four minutes from time, Hibs sealed the issue with a fourth goal thanks to an Andrew Cohen header.

In the quarter-finals which will be played on February 17, Hibernians will be facing Second Division side Zebbug Rangers.
