Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Yessous Camilleri (Balzan) and Luigi Ruggiero (Sliema) were handed a two-match ban while Aaron Agius (Balzan), Orosco Anonam and Steve Bonnici (Tarxien) were banned for one match.

Camilleri will miss Balzan’s next two matches against Hibernians and Valletta. Agius misses the Hibs clash as well.

Ruggiero is ruled out of the next two games against Birkirkara and Hamrun Spartans. Anonam and Bonnici will not be available for Tarxien in the next game against Melita.

Meanwhile John Alegbe (Mqabba) and Caleb John Azzopardi (St. Andrews) were banned for one match since they did not hold a valid medical certificate.
