Marsaxlokk defeated neighbours Zejtun Corinthians 2-0 to move temporarily on top the BOV First Division.

Rupert Mangion put the Southseasiders ahead on the 31st minute and Douglas da Silva Silveira doubled the score six minutes in the second half.

In the second match, St. Andrews defeated Birzebbuga St. Peter’s 2-1.

St. Andrews took the lead thanks to Michael Johnson on the 15th minute. Rumen Kerekov doubled the score on 62 minutes and Martin Deyanov scored a consolation goal for Birzebbuga on the 74th minute.

Marsaxlokk lead the way with 24 points, followed by Lija on 23, Naxxar on 22, Vittoriosa and St. Andrews 21, Pietà 20, Gudja 19, Zejtun 17, Gzira 15, Dingli and Birzebbuga 8 and Mqabba 4.
