Marsaxlokk returned to winning ways in the BOV First Division as they defeated Gudja United 3-1 on Wednesday.

Douglas da Silva Silveira put Marsaxlokk ahead on the 20th, Gary Caruana doubled the score on 31 minutes and two minutes from half-time, Silveira scored the third goal. Cosmin Anton scored a consolation goal for Gudja two minutes in added time.

Zejtun Corinthians defeated Mqabba 2-1 in another match.

Adrian Carabott put Zejtun ahead on the 35th minute and one minute from half-time, the same player doubled the score. Five minutes in the second half, Claudio Calleja pulled one back for Mqabba.

Vittoriosa and Naxxar lead the way with 34 points, followed by Pietà on 33, Lija 32, Marsaxlokk 29, St. Andrews 27, Gudja 26, Zejtun 21, Gzira 18, Dingli 12, Birzebbuga 10, Mqabba 5.
