Teams hope to end season on a positive note

BOV-Premier-LeagueSliema Wanderers take on Mosta while Floriana face Qormi as the four teams hope to end the season on a positive note.

The first match in programme is the Relegation Pool clash between Floriana and Qormi. The two teams were the first to secure their Premier League status with the Greens winning their last seven matches to move three points ahead of Qormi. The latter won their last four matches.

This game will probably be the last for Floriana coach Iain Brunskill as he is set to return to England after a most positive spell with the Greens.

Floriana lack Udo Nwoko but Tony Warner and Steve Pisani will be back after serving a one-match ban. Luke Sciberras is ruled out for Qormi but Roderick Sammut returns after missing the last game.

In the first two rounds, the two teams shared the spoils in draws with the third round clash ending in a 4-2 win for Floriana.

Meanwhile in the second match, Sliema Wanderers target a win over Mosta to join Valletta in third place.

After suffering three consecutive defeats, Sliema returned to winning ways, defeating Tarxien 4-3 last week. Mosta collected just one point from the last ten matches. They lost 0-6 to Hibernians last week.

Alex Muscat and Ian Zammit will be back after serving a one-match ban. Mosta midfielder Danail Mitev is suspended.

Mosta registered a 2-0 win in the first round with the Wanderers winning 2-0 and 1-0 in the second and third rounds.
