Floriana FC have appointed Ian Dawes as their new head coach following the departure of Iain Brunskill who will be taking up a post at The FA.

Dawes spent the last nine years at Liverpool where he was in charge of the Elite Development.

The Floriana FC official website www.florianafc.com announced that Gary Howard will retain his position as assistant coach.

Last year, the club started the season under the guidance of physical trainer Ivan Woods. Mark Wright was then appointed as coach and following his departure, Alan Lewer led the team on a temporary basis until the appointment of Stephen Azzopardi in October. Azzopardi quit the post in January and was replaced by Brunskill.
