Xewkija Tigers FC have appointed Mr. Ray Vella as the new Head Coach for the 2013-14 season.

Mr. Vella, known as il-Mundu and considered as a legend in Maltese football having played 67 games for the National Team, will enjoy his fourth spell at the club having acted as a player in the 1997-98 season and as a Head Coach during 1998-99 and 2004-05.

In season 98/99, the Tigers won the Jum il-Ħelsien Cup while in 2004/05, they won the GFA Cup and the Super Cup.

Until recently, Vella was the coach of the Mgarr women’s team.
