Footballer of the Year to be presented this evening in MFA Awards 2013

mfa-awards2013-launchThe Footballer of the Year award 2012/13 will be among eighteen awards to be presented this evening during the MFA Awards 2013 at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali.

Running for the Footballer of the Year award, are four Birkirkara players – Paul Fenech, Justin Haber, Edward Herrera and Gareth Sciberras together with Clayton Failla of Hibernians.

Coach of the Year

Best Young Player of the Year

  • Igor Coronado (Floriana)
  • Alejandro Mendoza Corujo (Birkirkara)

BOV First Division Best Player

  • Erjon Beu (Lija)
  • Raphael Alain Kooh Sohna (Pietà)
  • Lydon Micallef (Vittoriosa)

BOV Second Division Best Player

  • Osi Lucky Agboebina (St. George’s)
  • Mauricio Osmar Rodrigues Britto (Zebbug)
  • Alan Tabone (Zebbug)

BOV Third Division Best Player

  • Marko Milutinovic (Marsaskala)
  • Lee Joe Schembri (Sirens)
  • Timothy Thomas (Senglea)

BOV Women’s League Best Player

Best Youth League Player

On the other hand, winners of the top scorer awards are already known. The public will be able to vote for one of the five goals which were short-listed for the Goal of the Year Award. The other two awards – the Fair Play award and the President’s Award will be known on the night.

The MFA Awards 2013 night, which will also feature the draws of the BOV Premier League 2013/14, will be broadcast live on TVM2.
