Birkirkara and Malta internation midfielder Paul Fenech won the Footballer of the Year Award 2012/13. This award was among eighteen awards to be presented on Friday during the MFA Awards 2013 at the MFCC, Ta’ Qali.
Running for the Footballer of the Year award, were four Birkirkara players – Paul Fenech, Justin Haber, Edward Herrera and Gareth Sciberras together with Clayton Failla of Hibernians.

Referee Christopher Lautier, assistant referee Konrad Borg and former referee Richard Casha were presented with mementoes by Director of Refereeing Adrian Casha.
The BOV Premier League 2013/14 draws were also held during the event.
