UEFA Europa League appointments for Maltese match officials

clayton-pisani-kevin-azzopardiUEFA has appointed FIFA Referees Kevin Azzopardi and Clayton Pisani for the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round second leg matches being played in Bosnia-Herzegovina and FYR Macedonia respectively on Thursday.

In his first year on the International List, Kevin Azzopardi shall be making his debut in the Europa League after having being appointed as the referee of the HSK Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia-Herzegovina) vs UE Santa Coloma (Andorra) at the Gradski Stadium in Mostar. The home team has a 3-1 advantage from the first leg.

FIFA Assistant Referee Duncan Sultana, Elite Assistant Referee Sammy Attard and 4th Official Andre’ Arciola have been appointed by the Malta FA to assist FIFA Referee Kevin Azzopardi in this encounter. The Maltese Match Officials will be assessed by UEFA Referee Observer Jiri Ulrich (Czech Republic).

FIFA Referee Clayton Pisani, assisted by FIFA Assistant Referee Alan Camilleri, Elite Assistant Referee Paul Apap and 4th Official Mario Apap, shall be the referee in charge of the FK Turnovo (FYR Macedonia) vs FK Suduva (Lithuania) match at the National Arena Filip II Macedonian Stadium in Skopje. The first leg ended 2-2.

UEFA has appointed Referee Observer Michael Thomas Ross (Northern Ireland) to assess the Maltese Match Officials’ performance in this match.
