Successful participation for Pietà Hotspurs Under-10 in Licata tournament

The Pietà Hotspurs Nursery took part in a tournament in Licata, Sicily, reserved for the Under-10 category. The Pietà Nursery was represented with two teams.

There were forty-eight teams divided into sixteen groups.

In the group stage, Pietà Hotspurs “Blue” defeated Alicata 4-0 but lost 2-3 to Ludos Alcamo. They still managed to qualify, defeating Gioventu Gela 5-1 in the knock-out stage, Licata 3-2 in the quarter-finals and then defeated Ludos Alcamo 2-0 in the semi-finals.

Pietà Hotspurs “Orange” defeated Virtus Gela 3-2 and Santa Sofia 10-2 in the group stage, Real Gela 8-2 in the knock-out stage, Alcamo 8-2 in the quarter-finals and Virtus Gela 3-2 on penalties in the semi-finals.

Since the two Pietà teams reached the final, the nursery officials and the tournament organisers agreed that the final would not be held and the two teams were declared winners.
