Floriana won the second edition of the AME Cup after defeating Mosta 2-0 in the final at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday.

Christian Caruana put the Greens ahead on the 22nd minute and Steve Pisani doubled the score twelve minutes from time. However just before the end of the first half, Mosta had two players sent off – Francesco Calcagno and Diego Fernando.

Qormi finished third as they came from behind to beat Balzan 2-1.

Norwegian striker Kai Risholt put Balzan ahead one minute from the end of the first half but three minutes in the second half, Simone Bezziccheri levelled matters for Qormi and the same player notched the winner six minutes from time.

In the final stages, three players were sent off, Nelly Yoa and Roderick Sammut for Qormi, Jose Luis Armario Negrin for Balzan.

Meanwhile Leighton Grech of Qormi won the award of Top Scorer with five goals whike Tarxien Rainbows win the Fair Play Award.
