uqa St. Andrew’s FC Youth Nursery has appointed Kenneth Costantino as their new Head Coach. He will be taking over from Warren Muscat who had served the nursery for the past six years. These have been important years in the history of the nursery with a new an professional setup put in place resulting in success on the field of play namely by winning Section C2 of the YFA Under-17 League for 2012/13. The committee would like to publicly thank Warren Muscat for his professional service he always gave to the nursery and all its members.

Kenneth Costantino has a vast experience in coaching and also sports science. He obtained the UEFA Diploma A in coaching apart from others in Fitness, Sports Coaching, Gym Instruction and Personal/Physical Trainer obtained from different institution from England, USA and Malta.

During his coaching career, he has worked with various age groups from youth teams to senior team while also managed to coach also various ladies football teams. He led Luqa St. Andrew’s FC, Birkirkara FC women’s team, Santa Venera Lightnings Under-19 and Senior Team with whom he managed to win promotion to the Second Division in 2003/03, B’Bugia St. Peter’s, Luxol women’s team and Mosta women’s team. This experience will surely be beneficial to all the kids and youths attending the Luqa nursery.

Applications to join the nursery have just been issued by Luqa St. Andrew’s FC Youth Nursery for those kids interested in practicing the game of football. The nursery is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 years old and 17 years old.

Luqa St. Andrew’s FC Youth Nursery has three excellent facilities where the kids can learn the game of football. These are a 5-a-side pitch at the Luqa Primary School, another 9-a-side pitch at the Sports Complex and a new ground with FIFA approved turf within the St. Vincent de Paule Complex, limits of Luqa.

All training sessions are lead by qualified coaches under the guidance of Kenneth Costantino and with technical support from Coerver Coaching which is a strategic partner of the Luqa nursery. Other sports and social activities are organized throughout the year for all the members while training camps are also organized abroad.
