After the draw between Birkirkara and Sliema Wanderers on Saturday, four teams lead the way with four points – a win and a draw. Valletta and Hibernians therefore seek to be the only teams with maximum points from two matches.
The Citizens defeated Mosta 2-1 last week despite being reduced to ten men after having Edmond Agius sent off. Hibernians, on the other hand, needed a stoppage-time goal to beat neighbours Tarxien Rainbows 1-0.
Edmond Agius is ruled out as he serves a two-match ban while Jonathan Caruana is ruled out injured along with Steve Borg. Hibernians lack the injured Rodolfo Soares.
Valletta vs Hibernians kicks-off at 20:30
Meanwhile in the first match, Mosta take on Vittoriosa Stars, kick-off at 18:30.
Both sides seek their first win as Mosta lost 1-2 to Valletta while Vittoriosa Stars earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Balzan.
Mosta lack the suspended Joel Sunnyboy Toe but could have new foreigners making their debut. Vittoriosa may welcome back Sheldon Grech.
