Women's Under-19 side loses to Northern Ireland in friendly match

women-u19-malta-nireland130828DAThe Malta Women’s Under-19 national team lost 0-2 to Northern Ireland in a friendly match at the MFA Training Grounds on Wednesday.

This game was part of the Mark Gatt’s side preparation ahead of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship mini-tournament in programme next month in Serbia.

Laura Rafferty scored the two goals, putting the visitors ahead two minutes in the second half and doubling the score four minutes from time.

Another friendly match between the two teams will be played on Friday at the same venue, kick-off at 18:00.
