Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, Youth and Sport, Stefan Buontempo, visited the Maltese National team during a training session before the match against Denmark. Whilst talking with the players and the coach, he urged them to give their best performance, he also appealed to the Maltese to love the Maltese team and to attend wholeheartedly to give their full support.

This visit was accompanied by a contingent from the Cottonera United Football Nursery.
