BOV Division 1: Second win for Melita

bov-first-division-2013-2014Melita registered their second win in the BOV First Division as they beat Msida St. Joseph 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Julian Galea put the Amateurs ahead on the 3rd minute. Lydon Micallef converted a penalty on the 29th to level matters but Luke Micallef notched the winner on the 64th to hand Melita the three points.

In another match, Zurrieq registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Gudja United.

Matthew Schembri put Zurrieq ahead on the 8th minute and Glenn Bonello doubled the score thanks to a penalty on the 36th. Gary Inguanez sealed the issue with a third goal six minutes from time.
