Five Premier League players suspended

20110417-114224.jpgFiras Aboulezz was suspended for two matches while four Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Matheus Bissi da Silva (Birkirkara), Jorge Santos Silva (Tarxien) and Clifford Gatt Baldacchino (Sliema) were banned for one match after being sent off while Giancarlo Sammut (Mosta) was suspended as he did not have a valid medical certificate.

Aboulezz misses the next two games against Tarxien and Floriana, Matheus Bissi is ruled out of next weekend’s big match against Valletta, Jorge Santos the clash with Balzan, Gatt Baldacchino the game against Floriana and Sammut the derby against Naxxar.

Naxxar Lions Dione Drago was banned for three matches.

In Division 1, Mauro Busuttil (Hamrun) and David Cassar (Pietà) were suspended for one match.

Zach Valletta (Gharghur) was banned for two matches while Kurt Pace (Dingli), Mark Muscat (Kirkop), Mark Vella (Mellieha) and Clayton Micallef (Mqabba) were handed a one-match ban. Mellieha coach Dennis Fenech was suspended for two matches.

Chris Ciappara (Attard) and Jurgen Muscat (Qrendi) were suspended for one match in Division 3. Santa Lucia Eamon Bugeja was suspended for two matches.
